UX Research
I analyzed and extracted key insights from user interviews.
I also performed quantitative and qualitative competitor analysis, which I derived important conclusions from and summarized into briefs that were distributed to everyone in the company.

First, I extracted key data from the user interviews. Then, I separated them as positive or negative, and pertaining to Emotions, Servicing, Performance, or Communication. I then color coded them under topics such as amenities and underperformance.
Then, I pinpointed common threads between the interview data, extracted insights, and translated them into needs. I narrowed the needs into one central user need and expectation. This serves to guide the company with a singular theme that their customers are looking for from the service.
Competitor Analysis
I created a table on Notion with Soundboard's competitors and sections for quantitative details such as size and funding, and qualitative details such as marketing strategies and customer reviews. After compiling all the competitor research, I restructured the important points into a document that I sent out to the entire company. In this document, I listed out competitors with descriptions, marketing takeaways, common customer complaints/praises, and takeaways that I translated into company values.
I wrote up and sent out a second company-wide document for competitive services such as CPAs and bookkeepers. I summarized the key pros and cons for each of the services and concluded with takeaways that I translated into company values.
UX Writing (Customer Resources)
I authored and published blog articles designed to educate small business owners and solopreneurs on financial topics. Working closely with the product and customer resource teams, I translated complex tax and business concepts into accessible content that aligned with our brand voice.

Takeaways
These projects taught me how to extract key points and common threads from user data and summarize them in a way that is clear and understandable for the company. This meant that I needed to understand both the company and the consumer, and present information in a way that is legible for both groups. I learned not only how to read between the lines and effectively analyze user data, but also to properly filter and present information that was relevant to the company and to users.
